Why was IC Digital Created?

We recognise that challenges come in all shapes and sizes when implementing large scale transformational architecture. The question of whether tech should be “build vs buy”, “real time vs batch” to “points vs cash back” when looking at a retail tech landscape are questions we know all too well. 

At IC Digital we have the experience, capability and expertise to advise across the retail tech space.

We have worked on loyalty platform migrations, integrations with POS vendors, procuring teams & platforms, as well as full solution design of whole new loyalty or promotional propositions. We aim to give real solutions backed by substantial experience in the industry, with un-biased and impartial views on the tech to build or work with.

George Hallam - Founder & CTO

George has over 10 years of experience in the technology space. With an original background in AI, he has moved into tech consulting, specialising in loyalty and promotional platforms in the retail and service space.

With extensive knowledge both in solution design, pre-sales and consulting, George has both solved and delivered some of the worlds largest loyalty solutions. Career highlights include;

  • Moving the Sainsbury’s Nectar proposition to a digital first solution with 10 million members

  • Staggered rollout of Asda Rewards real time “cashpot” proposition to 5 million customers

  • Re-platforming all 9 million members of Woolworths Everyday Rewards and supporting the integration into a real time POS

  • Migrating and setting up Virgin Red from Virgin Atlantic Flying club, delivering group wide data and personalisation across the Virgin group

  • Forming and managing a multi region pre-sales and solution consultancy department in a world leading SaaS marketing company, Eagle Eye

With experience in over 15 different loyalty solutions, working with leading global teams and managing internal and external stakeholders, George is able to consult within any area of the loyalty sphere.
